Introduction
Some organisations will want to establish themselves as unincorporated associations. We have not dealt with them in detail in this section because, for most, risks associated with operation will mean that an unincorporated organisation is not appropriate.
The advantages and disadvantages of incorporating are dealt with in our pages on Why incorporate/benefits of incorporation and Why remain unincorporated. The question also forms a part of our decision tool. For those organisations where an unincorporated association is appropriate, the Charity Commission provides lots of information. You can also find links to useful constitutions on the standard legal documents page.
